All about the glory that is Rebecca Michelle Feldman
I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN and lived there until I went to Oberlin College in Ohio. After that, I moved back to Minneapolis for graduate school, because I love me some Minnesota. Then I moved back to Oberlin for a year because my wife got a job there. And then I moved back to Minneapolis because-- well, frankly, we were sick of Oberlin, and we love Minneapolis, and she got job here. So if you're paying attention, that's Minneapolis, Oberlin, Minneapolis, Oberlin, Minneapolis. Are you dizzy yet? Me too. Luckily, December of 2007 marked 18 months of living in one location without moving and at this point, we have no intention of leaving Minneapolis again. Good deal. I'm married (not legally, unfortunately) to a wonderful woman named Lauren who refuses to take my last name, no matter how much I beg and whine. I've got a BA and an MA, but both are in fields I would stab myself before working in again. Currently, I'm taking time off from working and being a kept woman while I figure out what the heck I want to do with myself. Careers I've considered during this hiatus from being a responsible and contributing member of society include, but are not limited to: landscape architect, Trivial Pursuit question research person, rabbi, summer camp owner, house flipper, and person who does nothing but obsesses about musicals all day (but unfortunately, Seth Rudetsky beat me to it). I also have a neurological disorder called Asperger's Syndrome. If you say, "Wow, I never would have guessed!" I'll hit you, especially if you're in the therapy/psychology field. Just because I cope well outwardly (not that I have been lately, but I do "cover" it, apparently) doesn't mean that every single day isn't a huge struggle for me. I do occasionally write about it here, but mainly, I allude to it in nearly every entry, as it affects nearly everything I do. Oh, and I've been keeping an online journal since 1995. You'd think I'd be better at writing interesting stuff by now, wouldn't you?
